There are 64 counties in Colorado and each one is served by a professionally operated assessor's office. The Colorado Assessors' Association is comprised of all 64 counties and the purpose of the association is to assist assessors through education, training, and meaningful dialogue to insure that we achieve valuation equity throughout the state. The association also monitors legislative activity in an effort to benefit all property taxpayers in the state.
The CAA is proud to have positive relationships with other supporting agencies including the Colorado Division of Property Taxation, the Board of Assessment Appeals, and the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers. This website offers links to our Associate Members, Supporting Agencies, and all 64 Colorado Assessors.
Often times, assessment issues and questions can be difficult to understand. As public officials, the Assessors of Colorado strive to assist all taxpayers. Colorado is a wonderfully diverse state and each county is unique. All 64 Colorado Assessors work hard to answer taxpayer questions and explain exactly how "We Value Colorado."
We welcome all questions, comments, and input from you, the taxpayers of Colorado, in our ongoing efforts to provide a better understanding of the Colorado property tax system.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Colorado Assessors' Association website.
